Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ebtisam Al Dallal, Chief Executive Officer of Al Kindi Hospital,
and Dr. Fatema Al Alawi, President of the Conference and Consultant Gastroenterologist
at Al Kindi Hospital, the 2nd edition of the Bahrain Conference on Crohn’s and Ulcerative
Colon Disease concluded successfully at the Sheraton Hotel, Bahrain on April 25th and
26th.
The conference was held in collaboration with the Friends of Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis
Association, with the participation of leading speakers from Al Kindi hospital, including
Dr. Raed Al Marzooq, General Surgeon, Surgical Oncologist, and Colorectal Surgeon, and
Dr. Amal Al Rayes, Consultant General Oncologist & Breast Surgeon, and Dr. Ahmed Al
Saegh, Consultant Gastroenterologist.
The conference was a leading scientific platform that brought together more than twenty
speakers and specialized lecturers from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain,
aimed at promoting awareness of Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis and reviewing the latest
medical and therapeutic innovations in the field. This success comes as a result of the
outstanding efforts made in the first edition of the conference, paving the way for more
outstanding scientific events in the future.
