Dr. Jumana Al Watani is a Resident at the Gastroenterology Department at Al Kindi Hospital. She works closely with senior consultants to provide clinical support and care for patients with a wide range of digestive system disorders.

Under the supervision of senior consultants and specialists, residents are actively involved in:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with a wide range of GI symptoms (e.g., abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, GI bleeding, acid reflux, jaundice)
• Taking detailed medical histories and perform physical examinations
• Developing and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and the latest clinical guidelines
• Managing both acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions in inpatient (hospital) and outpatient (clinic) settings
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, dietitians) to provide holistic patient care and facilitate referrals when necessary
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
